Thank you for considering Antler Adventures for your next Wisconsin Deer Hunt. There is no question that Wisconsin is one of if not the best states to hunt trophy whitetail deer. With more entries in the Pope & Young and Boone & Crocket record books than all other states. Our Wisconsin Whitetail Deer Hunts are no different. Starting with an amazing hunting lodge, custom wood, hand made bar, private family friendly, group, or corporate outing venue. The whitetail property has rolling hills with deep ravines for big buck hide outs, large pond, open fields, thick and wet swamp with extremely comfortable Redneck blinds strategically placed to accommodate most modern hunting weapon requirements. Our management program, combined with amazing Wisconsin genetics produce very thick antlered deer. If you are looking for a thick typical or multiple drop tine trophy deer, then this is going to be your whitetail hunt of a lifetime.
Our Wisconsin deer hunting season in St. Croix County starts the third week in August for early season velvet buck hunts. The Wisconsin hunting season continues into December for the late season trophy deer hunts. You can use the weapon of your choice (archery, rifle, shotgun, or crossbow) for the entirety
of the season. There is no need to buy a license, when you come on a trophy whitetail hunt, just come, and enjoy your hunt. We offer all-inclusive whitetail hunts which include an experienced guide, transportation to and from the blind as well as field care for your trophy buck. Lunch as well as snacks and drinks will be provided for our day hunters. All-inclusive deer hunts are 3-days of hunting, 2-nights lodging, and include all meals, drinks, private onsite lodging, and guide. For additional information on our accommodations please visit our Hunting Lodge page.
We prefer to use elevated Redneck box blinds on our Trophy Whitetail Deer Hunts. They keep you out of the elements and offer the opportunity to use heaters on the cold autumn mornings. They are equally great for either archery or rifle hunts. Our deer stands are strategically located near food sources and known bedding areas. We spend the time needed for scouting the trophy deer you are after. This will determine which stand is most likely to present you the shot at your trophy whitetail buck.
Your guided trophy whitetail deer hunt starts upon your arrival sometime shortly after twelve noon. We will introduce you to your guide, get you settled into your room then go over a few safety items and then you and your guide will go out and get settled into one of deer hunting stands. After your afternoon hunt, we will retrieve any harvested deer and return to the lodge for a hardy home cooked meal.
Upon your wake up you will be provided a continental style meal with juice, coffee, cereal etc. Your morning deer hunt starts at dark thirty depending on sunrise and out to the stands. We hunt until around ten, retrieve and downed deer you may have and head back to the lodge for a big breakfast or brunch. The afternoon hunt is a repeat of the first day and your last morning is a repeat of the first morning hunt. After the last morning hunt, we then pack up your cooler and remove your cape from our zero-degree freezer ready for a departure of around noon. We have particularly good local taxidermists that we recommend so you can drop your trophy cape and give detailed instructions on how you would like your mount done.
Deer Stand 1: This is the ranch owner’s favorite stand to hunt from. It overlooks the largest food plot area and is on a ridge. Below the ridge is densely wooded area, as well as a pond. Often, bucks will come from the dense bedding to the food plot for an evening graze. The food plots directly in front of this stand contain clover and oats, but it is bordered by our high protein plots of soybeans, peas, and turnips.
Deer Stand 2: This stand is located to the North of our protein food plot. Directly in front of this whitetail stand is a plot of clover. There is also an area of tall forage grasses that bucks will use for grazing and bedding. It is also on the tree line of an extremely dense portion of our deer hunting preserve. This gets
a lot of traffic from the trophy bucks who bed in this dense area as they get up to graze and water.
Our trophy bucks come in a variety of sizes, with most of them falling between 180-220 inches SCI year after year. Our whitetail deer have large bodies, and even larger racks. Antler Adventures has two primary styles of antlered bucks. The first is a very thick typical framed whitetail deer. Without exaggeration, many of our buck’s antler mass can be compared to the size of a soda can. We pride ourselves on raising big bodied typical trophy Wisconsin bucks. The second type is a drop tine typical buck. Now these are not the average pencil thin single drops. These are handlebar drops and range from doubles drop tines up to perfect quad drop tines. When one of these studs shows up, they raise the heart rate of even the most seasoned whitetail hunter, truly a site to see. All our trophy whitetail hunt packages are all-inclusive and include 3 days of hunting and 2 nights of lodging.
